A good friend of mine recently had her second child, and I wanted to make her a baby quilt. I got carried away with the idea of substituting the bees for appliqued circles on many of the fans inside the outer three borders. Quilt patchwork consist of several basic, core units, and once you've mastered those, you can piece anything! Our brains are naturally drawn to symmetry, structure and repetition.
