No secrets to this, but I recommend Googling the color-wheel or calling your elementary school art-teacher if you can't get it quite right. Like me, you're not a surfboard shaper or glasser. You will be creating a lot of dust while sanding, so it is a good idea to wipe down your board with a rag and denatured alcohol between grits to see if you have done a sufficient job of smoothing out the surface. I suspect that if you totaled up all your time, you would see that you spent about 2 hours fixing that little ding. Now you know why your local surf shop charges $35 to fix that little rail ding.
