I thought this book was well... unfortunate. I might not have had a problem with this if she hadn't just decided to start doing it in the middle of the novel. Plot: romance, wedding, marriage, revenge, first contact, destiny, natural disaster, love story, stereotypes, lone hero, culture clash, fantasy world... Place: las vegas. I knocked off a single star for what I felt was the only shortcoming in a wonderful read. My best guess is that the story looked better -- much better -- on paper. Story: The remake of the 1970 Neil Simon comedy follows the adventures of a couple, Henry and Nancy Clark, vexed by misfortune while in New York City for a job interview. The club is one part revenge against the husbands who are dumping them, one part self-help group, and one part charitable organization intended to help and empower other women. And when yet another affair is discovered, all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on the three-timing SOB. I loved the movie but you cannot compare it with the novel, which I also found very good. Diane Keaton, who plays Annie, is a household name who has won an Oscar as well as two Golden Globes. Like "Girls Trip, " "Bad Moms" focuses on a group of women who desperately need to let loose. In this comedy, three ex-wives who have been dumped for younger ladies are determined to get their revenge. You can also spot stars of the future such as Sarah Jessica Parker in smaller roles.
