According to the Science of Reading Defining Guide, the Science of Reading is not a reading program, a one-size-fits-all program of instruction, or a single component of instruction. There's a brief introduction at the beginning explaining what guided reading is and why it's so important, but the bulk of the book dives into the details of the different lesson components and materials that make up the lesson based on the student's reading level. A lot of information here, but once I really get a chance to implement it in my classroom, it will be a great help.
