This specific statement caught my eye while reading up because I was looking at getting a Bosch 67381 to replace the OEM part... For what it's worth the Delphi and AC Delco parts look damn near identical. I guess what Im asking for here is advise from those that have done this.

I'd highly suggest dropping the tank. I dont give a crap about the bed its a truck not a show vehicle. Hope this helps with any other onlookers! Get under the truck and look for the exact location of the tank. LAzer if your truck has a bed lining you can remove it and undo the bolts that hold the bed you do you have direct access to the fuel pump without having to cut any hole or drop the fuel you will have to undo lines like electrical that go to the brake lights and other stuff but that the easiest way i know of how to get to the fuel pump without dropping the tank.
