They were unique among vocal groups in that they had three lead singers amongst Ignacio Elejalde and his sweet, high tenor, Eduardo Elio Hernandez, Miguel Cancio and Leoncio 'Kike' Morua.
This rare Doors single ("The Unknown Soldier") features two fine, rarely heard tracks tracks that will delight the group's fans, as well as fans of Psychedelic Rock in general. Still, "It's Better... " earns the 45 a 2-star rating from us, our highest recommendation. KQV AM broke the record in Pittsburgh where it quickly reached the top of the charts. This artist shows a love for roots rock, with a delightful rockabilly-esque A side ("Dead Wrong") and this knock-em-dead blues rock/garage number with a heavy metal lead guitar on the flip. It featured the song "I'll Be Okay in the Morning" co-written by Donnie and Hermie Granati, along with the Donnie Iris song "Don't It Make You Wanna Dance? "
Many lists of the top all time Doo Wop songs rank the "Come Go With Me" by the Del Vikings at number 2 and "Blue Moon" by the Marcels in the top 10. These are two terrific, rare sides from Carla Thomas. The A side is "A Chance For You And Me". Consisted of Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Steve Winwood, and Ric Gretch. The Five Satins are an American doo-wop group, best known for their 1956 million-selling song, "In the Still of the Night. " Their B sides are invariably as good as the A sides... Combining elements of doo-wop and soul, the Royal Counts were produced by Relic Record's Stan Krause, as were his later discovery, the Persuasions, and the sound of the two groups is similar. Formed in 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, The Arrogants performed on street corners and at show clubs and dances in New York City's vibrant Doo-wop scene of the early nineteen sixties. This B side of "Say You Love Me" was every bit as big a hit as the A side ultimately... just didn't get the airplay at the time.
